Sergio Garcia carded a 70 in the last round of the Masters and finished T17. His final score was 283 (-5), his all time best in the 17 years he has been competing in Augusta. It is his best result in terms of strokes, but not his best position since he started playing there. In his career Sergio has up to four top 12 positions: T4 (2004), 8 (2002), T8 (2013) and T12 (2012).
Sergio Garcia shot 71 strokes in the third round of the Masters. It was a very elaborate day of golf, asking for his full concentration and capacity for suffering, but getting rewarded at the end, even though he had two short putts for par that missed to find the hole on 12 and 18.
Sergio Garcia shot 74 strokes in the second round of the Masters. It was a strange round and very much inconsistent. The beginning was difficult, with lots of struggle. It took Sergio a while to find his rhythm, the shots did not come out right and he was losing ground on almost every hole. On the second nine, and especially in the final stretch, García unleashed his best golf to bring himself back into the tournament.
