Fantastic start into the Playoffs

Sergio García kicked off the first round of the Dell Technologies with a new putter and the result was fantastic. He was the best putter in the field which is reflected in the statistic 'strokes gained'. In fact, he beat the average of the tournament by 4.2 strokes.

Garcia has a momentum at the TPC Boston. He made 67 strokes, improving his average on this course of 68.71 over the last ten years. He made six birdies and was one of the most accurate in the first round. No surprise, since 2010 he is ranked third among the players with the best average of birdies on this course (4.83).

Sergio delivered the best score of the afternoon shift and is placed in second position. A great start into the Playoffs.
