Sergio misses the cut

Sergio Garcia has missed the cut in the PGA Championship after shooting a 75 on Friday. The player from Borriol has finished with a cumulative result of eight over par, far from his goal to give himself a chance of victory.

Sergio did not miss a cut since the PGA Championship last season. However, this fourth major tournament, which will become the second in 2019 due to a change in the Tour schedule, is the one that Sergio struggles the most in recent years. Since finishing second in 2008 he has not achieved a top ten and has missed five cuts.

Fact is that Garcia has not feel comfortable all week with his swing and Quail Hollow is a very demanding course.

Sergio will now take a well deserved break. He will not play again until the Dell Technologies Championship, second Playoff of the FedEx Cup.
