Sergio ready for his 'last day of class'

This Sunday Sergio will play the last round of the Australian PGA Championship. His mission was clear: a fourth win to break his personal record of three wins in one year. But chances became very little after the third round and it would take mistakes from the leaders for Sergio to benefit and eventually be in the fight for victory.

Sergio delivered a 70-shot card on a day where he again showed a commendable fighting spirit. But his putting was less reliable than on the previous days. He remains in the top ten of the tournament, nine shots behind the leader. Before Sergio returns home to recharge his batteries, he would like to finish his last tournament of the year at least with a great round to offer a world-class performance to the spectators.

"The year has been very long and it is inevitable that there is some mental fatigue. I'm having trouble concentrating, but I'm very proud of how I fought until the end. Tomorrow I will try to play a solid round on the last day of class," he explained after the third round.
