Tough start for Sergio at the PGA

Sergio Garcia (+4) had a difficult start at the PGA Championship, fourth Major of the season, on the course of Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sergio carded 75 shots with three birdies, three bogeys and two double bogeys. Actually, Garcia struggled particularly through the Green Mile, a stretch of Quail Hollow between the holes 16 and 18. On these three very challenging holes the Spaniard recorded a partial of five over par, while in the remaining fifteen he played -1.

Unfortunately, Sergio did not feel comfortable with his swing and he was lacking consistency. Quail Hollow has proven to be a very demanding course.

Sergio will play the second round in the afternoon shift, starting at 19.35. The provisional cut is now at +3 and the lead is shared by Kevin Kisner and Thorbjorn Olesen with -4.
