"After a successful and very positive season it is my personal year-end highlight to promote the next generation; through my foundation, we invited six kids from Castellón to participate in the best tournament in the world for young people" comments Sergio Garcia.
"For them it was their first visit to the United States and a very unique experience. We not only provided the resources for their participation in the tournament, we also had Txema Sánchez Arjona, our local partner and professional golf coach, showing them the city and also attend a NBA game of the Miami Heat in one of their visits to town. They came back overwhelmed by their impressions and recalled everything from what they have seen on the television and in the movies.
It was our intention to give them an idea of what the golf world is like and the tremendous level of competition that characterizes the Professional Tour and that country. The Doral Publix Junior is the most prestigious world junior tournament attended by scouts from universities of all the United States in search of future stars, and is played at the Blue Monster, the same course where we play the Cadillac Championship of the PGA Tour", says Sergio.
