Patrick Reed, Shane Lowry and Andrew Putnam, rivals in the WGC Dell Match Play

This Wednesday, Sergio Garcia kicks off the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play at the Austin Country Club in Texas. The Spaniard plays on home turf, since his wife Angela and her family come from Austin and Sergio gets to spend quiet some time there. It will be his seventeenth participation in the WGC Match Play and his balance is six top ten finishes. Sergio’s best result was the fourth place in 2010.

Last year he passed the group stage and lost in the second round against Kyle Stanley. His rivals in the group stage this year are Patrick Reed, Shane Lowry and Andrew Putnam. Only the first of each group advances. Sergio’s first match will be against Lowry on Wednesday, Thursday against Putnam and Friday against Reed.
