Sergio, back on track just in time

The player from Borriol put his round back on track in time. He struggled mightily at the start of his round, nothing went his way and the course wasn’t helping, because he found his ball embedded in sand a few times and he was 3 over through seven holes.

Afterwards, Sergio rallied himself and shot 3 under on the back nine, climbing on the leaderboard and hanging on the top ten, but he will need to put together two very low rounds over the weekend to stay in the hunt for the title. “If I want to be up there I will have to stretch myself to the limit. Nothing went right for me today. Although I cannot put my finger on it, yesterday I felt I was in total control of the situation, but today I didn’t feel comfortable right from the start. At least, luckily I managed to finish at even-par”, Sergio said after his round.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is at 13-under and has a two-shot lead over Graeme McDowell.

Sergio will start the third round of the Cadillac Championship at 12:45 pm ET along with Michael Thompson, last week winner of The Honda Classic.
