Sergio García extends his magnificent streak of top ten in Singapore

Sergio García finished seventh at the SMBC Singapore Open played on the Serapong Course of the Sentosa Golf Club. A remarkable defense of the title and a good staging in 2019 after the winter break.

Obviously, Sergio aspired to victory, but the setback on the last nine holes of the third day did not offer a realistic chance on Sunday.

However, Sergio extends his fantastic run of top ten for six events: Portugal Masters, Andalucía Valderrama Masters, Nedbank Golf Challenge, DP World Tour Championship, Hong Kong Open and SMBC Singapore Open. Or you can say, he is well-established in the top ten for months ever since the victory of the Ryder Cup in September last year. In addition, Sergio can add another impressive number to the statistics: 23 rounds in a row below par. The last one was at the PGA Championship in August 2018.

Garcia's next event will be the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, a European Tour tournament he won in 2017.
